Tanggu No. 1 valve can leak. Whether it is in use or during use, leakage may occur when the stuffing box cover, flange gasket or Tanggu No. 1 valve is damaged. It is conceivable that such leaks will develop. Assuming that the liquid flows through a valve in Tanggu under very severe operating conditions (high temperature and high pressure), what kind of damage might be encountered? Will corrosive fluids collect in cable trays, or flammable liquids in hot containers? Will the warm current of the alkaline solution damage the operator?

After the blockage, the Tanggu No. 1 valve can maintain the system pressure for a continuous period of time. If the Tanggu valve needs to be opened or taken away during maintenance, there must be a safe way to reduce this pressure. 2. A lot of high-pressure fluid accumulated between the shut-off valves may generate considerable force. If the operation of re-discharging the pressure of the control valve is careless, serious personal accidents may occur.

3. Is the fluid a gas, a clean liquid, or a liquid with suspended solids?

Even if it is a good Tanggu one-valve design, it will inevitably accumulate high-pressure liquid when it is blocked. Therefore, it is recommended that a vent valve and a drain valve be installed on each side of the control valve if the potential energy of the liquid is of great risk.

For the Tanggu No. 1 valve that accumulates a lot of high-pressure materials, it is reasonable to consider the two vent valves and discharge valves of the equipment. Only a small amount of material is accumulated between the two Tanggu valves, and at the same time, the pressure of the system can be gradually released, so that the fluid pressure between the two discharge or vent valves is repeatedly collected and discharged. Note that the control valve must be open during this process.

If the fluid being vented is a hazardous gas, the vent line must be connected to a safe place.

If the gas is not flammable, the venting line still needs to be exported to prevent the blown gas from entraining rust or other substances that may damage the personnel who are handling the venting valve.

Choose a vent valve that will continuously throttle, which will protect careless operators who fail to follow the safe practice of slowly opening the vent valve. If the fluid contains suspended particles, this restrictive vent valve is prone to blockage. Therefore, it may be necessary to vent from the Tanggu valve at the top of the pipeline, so that a large-sized discharge valve can be used for safe venting. In this regard, it is important to train personnel on the safe operation of the restrictor vent valve. If the fluid being discharged is a hazardous liquid, pipeline system planners should consider connecting the discharge line to a safe location. During the operation of the equipment, the Tanggu valve may be very hot, so it is necessary to have preventive measures to avoid scalding the operator.
